X1R FIAM Electromechanical Lock for Armored Security Doors
The Italian company FIAM (part of the ISEO group), with 50 years of experience in lock manufacturing, presents the new electromechanical lock X1R for armored security doors. A perfect combination of mechanics and electronics.
The X1R Security Lock Offers:
A) Easy Installation: The electrical connections, whether during the door manufacturing or the lock installation, are minimal and straightforward.
B) Reliable and Trouble-Free Operation: This security lock has successfully passed rigorous endurance tests and comes with a 3-year warranty for proper functioning (the warranty is provided to the retailer, not the end user). The alkaline battery version guarantees no less than 40,000 operations (openings and closings under ideal conditions). The internal gear mechanism ensures that the lock can operate with the standard cylinder key in case of emergency, panic, or power supply issues. The lock is designed so that the standard key always takes priority over other electronic systems.
C) High Security: The lock can automatically lock (optional). This means that when the door closes, the lock’s bolts automatically extend into the locked position. Additionally, the lock can automatically unlock (optional), retracting the “tongue” and bolts to the unlocked position. The security lock never remains unlocked; if we choose to unlock it and for any reason do not open the door, it will automatically relock within 15 seconds.
D) Access Control: The lock allows you to define who can enter and exit through the door, as well as to add or revoke access rights, all easily and quickly.
E) Versatile Operation: The security lock can be operated in three different ways, as per your choice:
- With the xKEY: This is an electronic key that contains a transmitter, unlocking the lock simply by bringing it close to the receiver located on the external side of the door. The receiver recognizes the electronic key, and the door unlocks. With the xKEY, the user can:
- Program two hierarchical levels (“master” and “slave”) and define the access rights of each key user.
- Program the lock’s operational functions.
- Program new electronic keys, granting access to new users or canceling electronic keys to revoke access.
- Store a mechanical cylinder key inside the xKEY for emergency use, with a separate order needed for the cylinder at the required length.
- With the Keyboard: The keyboard has an integrated receiver to provide functionality with the xKEY (case 1). It accepts a numerical code (maximum of 8 digits), processed by the electronic device on the internal side of the door, unlocking the lock when entered correctly. The code is encrypted and stored in the lock’s electronic memory, making unauthorized manipulation by third parties highly unlikely. The keyboard features backlighting for nighttime use, activated by pressing any key.
- With the Remote Control: This uses a “rolling code” system, meaning the frequency changes every time the button is pressed. The remote control has three channels (buttons): one for unlocking the security lock, and the other two can be programmed to open the garage door or other doors. The remote can be used as an additional unlocking method, regardless of whether the lock is equipped with the xKEY (case 1) or the keyboard (case 2). It can be used when the lock is installed with rechargeable batteries or direct power supply (not with alkaline batteries).
Different Installation / Operation Methods: The security lock can be installed in three different ways based on your needs:

Aesthetic Matching: The metallic “rings” surrounding the lock components (like the keyboard, receiver, programming unit, etc.) are available in various finishes (gold, chrome, matte chrome, and bronze) to match the other accessories of the door (e.g., handles, cylinder escutcheons).
Wide Usage: The X1R can be installed on the main entrance door of an apartment building (unlocking via the intercom for each apartment) and on the main door of an apartment. It can also be combined and operate with alarm systems and home automation systems (“smart home”).
